My Angel

 

Words like strong, loving, unselfish, caring, amazing are just a few words I use to describe my amazing mother...She is and always will be my "Angel"...

 

In my 44 years I cannot remember one time that my mom ever put herself first.  It was always about what was best for the "kids" and "family". I am lucky.

 

Every Birthday, Easter, Thanksgiving and Christmas my parents would have the entire family (8) over for dinner and I always remember how my mom would start cooking a few days in advance because she wouldn't just cook one meal/dish for everyone.  Nope not my mom, she would make each person's favorite dish.  Just stop and think about that for a minute?

Anyone who has ever cooked a meal for a large group knows how hard it is to make enough food for everyone and to try and make sure all dishes are ready at the same time so food wouldn't get cold....

 

It is not like we asked my mom to cook each of our favorite meals...no way, at all! We were excited to be there and eat whatever amazing dish she made.

 

But my mom always and I mean ALWAYS went the extra mile or should I say 100 miles...

 

Now here is the great and amazing part about my mom....Not once did she ever complain how hard it was to cook all those different meals...I remember that look of pure happiness and excitement she would get seeing the entire "Croonen Family" together eating their favorite meals, sharing their stories and a lot of laughter....

 

To me....Every day should be "Mother's Day"!!!
