The quote above fits perfectly into my Blog for today.
 | I just finished putting my 4 bags of groceries in the back hatch of my vehicle and drove off listening to my Louise L Hay CD relaxing and looking forward to getting home after a long cold day on the road. I only have a 4-5 minute drive from the Grocery Store to my house, so what could go wrong??? Well as the red light quickly turned green and "Lead Foot Larry" or in this case "Lead foot Jeffrey" pressed the gas a bit too much and not knowing I did not close the back hatch all the way....Well you can only imagine? |
My back hatch flew open and 3 of the 4 bags of groceries flew out into the middle of the main intersection and all I heard was six of my twelve bottles of Perrier smash into a hundred pieces!
So I pulled over quickly and ran out in the middle of the moving traffic trying to dodge the incoming traffic and picking up what was left of my Perrier bottles, 6 lemons rolling down the road and a few other items...Suddenly I hear a load halt of someones brakes, I look up and notice a gentlemen do a sharp U-Turn then pop out of his vehicle as quick as possible and run right over to me and begin to pick up all the pieces of glass and put as much of my groceries into one of the empty bags.
I would truly like to "Thank" that nice gentlemen who jumped out of his vehicle with out a second thought regarding the speeding cars flying by or the sub zero weather and he most likely had someone waiting for him to get home so they could enjoy their warm meal together...
Once again people, "No act of kindness, no matter how small, is ever wasted".
To him or others that may seem like a small act of kindness, but to me it meant more then just that...
To the kind gentlemen who helped me out that cold, dark and busy evening....THANKS !
